The Project

Owned by the city of Houston, the AAA Four Diamond rated Hilton Americas-Houston underwent a $54 million hotel transformation / renovation to its public space, guestrooms and event space. As the flagship hotel in the downtown area, Hilton Americas-Houston is the largest convention center hotel in downtown Houston. Connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center via sky bridges on two levels, the property boasts 1,207 elegantly appointed guestrooms, 91,500 square feet of flexible meeting & event space, a fitness center and a 75-foot infinity indoor pool.

The design of the guestrooms showcases a tribute to Houston arts and culture. Along with the guidance and expertise of art consultants, art creations from eleven local artists with diverse mediums from photography, painting and collage, were selected to enhance guestroom wallcoverings with vibrancy and local flavor. Custom wall graphic murals were created by local Houston-based artists, including Justin Garcia, Nicola Paremta, Jonathan Paul Jackson and Melinda Laszczynski.
