One vibrant company withthree dynamic locations –Memphis, San Diego, and Dallas.

Memphis, Tennessee

Memphis Office

“The Home of the Blues” and “The Birthplace of Rock and Roll” are the two most familiar ways to identify the original home of HBG Design’s headquarters since 1979. But did you know Memphis is also “The Birthplace of Branded Hotels”? Holiday Inn, the first-ever standardized hotel brand came right out of Memphis. It was the very same Memphis-based Holiday Corporation that propelled HBG into the hospitality design market sector. The design of a new, vertical prototype hotel for Holiday Corporation was the commission that launched HBG into hotel design – and we haven’t looked back since. Today, from our offices poised high above the Mississippi River in One Commerce Square Tower in the heart of Downtown Memphis, we continue to hone our focused specialty in hospitality and resort projects and have been proudly recognized as a Top 10 Hotel and Hospitality Design Firm for three decades.

San Diego Office

HBG’s San Diego office opened in 2016 on the heels of winning the commission for a multi-million-dollar resort expansion at Sycuan Casino Resort in the eastern suburbs of San Diego. That win launched the firm’s ability to make the California dream a reality. HBG employees have since built a formidable presence. HBG’s San Diego office tripled in size during its first year of operation and has been growing ever since. In 2023, our team was recognized as a San Diego Best Place to Work, according to the San Diego Business Journal. To keep up with the pace of growth, our San Diego moved into new, larger office space at One Columbia Place, bringing them closer to the heart of downtown near Little Italy. Our San Diego teammates lead projects spanning California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and New Mexico, and are also fully integrated with Memphis and Dallas teams on projects around the U.S.

San Diego, California
Dallas, Texas

Dallas Office

HBG has been working in Texas and in the surrounding region since the late 1990s, when we designed and completed the massive Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine. HBG opened the doors to our Dallas office in 2021. With a high concentration of clients in Oklahoma, Western Arkansas and throughout Texas, HBG’s Dallas office provides the opportunity to better serve our clients in the region, while delivering on project commitments with immediate access to locally based talent and resources. HBG has grown its team of talented professionals with plans for increased expansion, especially in the hospitality design and interior design areas of our practice. Our 2023 move downtown placed us directly in the central business district on the 38th floor of the Bank of America Plaza building. Our office is poised for continued growth and sustained success in this important regional location.

HBG’s presence in these thriving cities helps us better serve our clients and markets.
