As part of a renovation initiative at Gun Lake Casino, the redesigned Social Bar and Lounge offers guests an elevated social destination rooted in dynamic visual storytelling and contemporary energy.
With seating for 47 at the bar and 30 in the lounge, the venue is divided into two distinct yet connected experiences—each designed to encourage relaxation, connection, and curiosity.
The design narrative for Social is anchored in the theme “Shattered”—a concept that explores movement, reflection, and transformation through fractured geometries, high-contrast materiality, and immersive lighting.
Guests are drawn from the casino floor by wood ceiling elements that appear to break apart, leading them visually toward the lounge. Above, the shattered ceiling treatment forms a sculptural canopy of angular forms, layered with warm, kinetic lighting that shifts throughout the day and night. This fractured, volumetric expression evokes the feeling of stepping into an unexpected, elevated space—one that simultaneously energizes and welcomes.
The Social Bar & Lounge isn't just a place to pause—it's a carefully orchestrated environment that redefines the social hub within the casino. By merging architectural energy with emotional resonance, HBG Design has transformed the former Crossroads Bar into a destination where guests gather, recharge, and return.
