The Project

Among gently rolling hills, continuous rows of leafy almond and olive orchards and elegant wine vineyards sits the stunning Cache Creek Resort hotel. The rural area is well-known for its acres of farmland, ranches and the bustling river. The idyllic beauty of the Capay Valley inspired the design aesthetic for the luxurious new $180 million, 459-room, four diamond hotel expansion.

The design draws heavily from the region's agrarian landscape and agricultural ties, as it maximizes scenic views at every turn. Designers established an impactful design concept called ‘Plentiful Valley / Fertile Ground’ drawing from characteristics of the valley experienced during the four distinct seasons. Organic, textural material, pattern and color connect the upscale expansion to the heart of the valley. Maximizing connection to nature, all guestrooms, suites and relaxation areas face large open windows toward the picturesque landscape.
