The Project
After adding a casino to the then Oaklawn Jockey Club in 2009, and a subsequent casino expansion and renovation in 2015, HBG Design was tapped to lead the architecture and interior design for the large-scale resort expansion that would create Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort as a key destination in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The latest expansion project expanded the gaming floor considerably and added a new High Limits area, in addition to adding a new hotel, new food and beverage options, a spa and fitness center, an outdoor pool and event lawn, and a large event center with banquet kitchen and numerous break-out meeting rooms.
Touches of luxury in the new High Limits Lounge include high-end finishes, furnishings and a custom Italian chandelier. Previous expansions at Oaklawn set the tone for the horse racing inspired patterns and materials used throughout the interior and exterior design palette.
