The Project

A bronzed statue of a track bugler greets diners of the resort’s new fine dining restaurant, aptly named The Bugler. Inside, visual depth is created by layering the ceiling plane with recessed wood plank inlays framed by black molding. A continuation of neutrals and blue tones, natural seagrass textured furnishings, and black and gold metallic screening create a relaxed, polished backdrop for incredible views of the racetrack through a full glass curtainwall. Photos and paintings of historic Hot Springs and Oaklawn events adorn a feature gallery wall in the main dining and bar area between The
Bugler’s reception space and private dining room.

After dinner, guests can extend the evening in the restaurant’s lounge, The First Turn Bar. Hidden beyond a diamond patterned smoky glass wall, the urbane lounge is reminiscent of a gentleman’s cigar bar. Complex tilework, mood lighting, gold and leather finishes and velvet seating make this sophisticated venue feel exceptionally exclusive. The lounge’s balcony is positioned directly on the “first turn” of the track providing a unique vantage point for guests to observe the races.

The Bugler and its neighboring lounge, First Turn Bar, boast VIP-level track views through window walls and expansive balconies, allowing the race day experience to emanate through the spaces
