On the Boards: Rain Rock Casino Resort Expansion

The Rain Rock Casino is expanding into a regional destination resort that will increase tourism and expose the beauty of its northern California setting. Projected to open in 2024, the new 78,995 SF resort expansion design by HBG Design will feature 72 guestrooms and eight suite cottages, the addition of 172 gaming machines, new dining and a sports bar renovation, an events/convention center and a 15,000 SF garden area with luxurious pool, hot tubs and waterfalls. 

The HBG Design team interpreted the Rain Rock Casino Resort aesthetic as a “Journey Upriver”, which has become the shared vision for the overall expansion project. The concept draws inspiration from the changes in landscape experienced as you follow the Klamath River and speaks to an overall project vision that connects the expansion to the surrounding nature and the Karuk Tribal community.
