Michael excels at mapping out successful project delivery strategies related to team communications, technology and schedule control and design to budget processes. Alexandra Milkovich, NCIDQ, IIDA - Senior Associate / Senior Interior Designer

Alexandra Milkovich has been a trailblazer in HBG Design’s San Diego office, showcasing remarkable growth from her early days in documentation support to her current role as a Senior Interior Designer. Known for her empathetic leadership, Alexandra fosters collaboration and mentorship within her team, empowering junior designers with real-time feedback and opportunities to grow. Her commitment to design excellence and her role as an advocate for innovation through firm-wide initiatives have positioned her as a thought leader within the industry. Ferran Espin, AIA - Senior Associate / Architecture and Design

As one of the firm's most accomplished architects, Ferran has played a key role in leading many of our largest and most complex entertainment and hospitality projects. He has a remarkable ability to convey intricate concepts and ideas straightforwardly, instilling confidence among his peers, clients, and consultant/contractor teams. Kevin Burke, AIA, LEED AP - Senior Associate / Architecture and Design

As a Senior Architectural Designer in HBG Design’s San Diego office, Kevin is a great example of talent and professionalism equaling impact, on every project he touches and for the teams he engages. His focus and passion for hospitality design is inspiring.

As an award-winning, seasoned designer in the hospitality and entertainment design industry, Kevin brings a 19-year proven track record of designing, producing and managing team-oriented multi-million-dollar projects. No project is too small a challenge, and he has put his creative mark on project types ranging from master planning and hotel and resort design to venue design and interior renovations. Kevin’s passion for design extends into a deep understanding of casino and hotel operations and the business side of his clients' design investments.

With a personal mission to deliver great design, every day, he is equally noted for his willingness and eagerness to share his expertise with others.

For his work in the industry, he is the recipient of numerous AIA Design awards and American Gaming Association Casino Design Awards for Best Architectural & Interior Design; and he was honored with an ENR Top 20 Under 40, South West USA – Top Young Professionals Award in 2015.


Chris Devine, AIA - Senior Associate / Documentation & Specification Leader

As Senior Associate and Documentation and Specification Leader at HBG Design, Chris is known for his high work ethic, his wit, humor and humble demeanor, and his leadership in the transformation of the firm’s documentation standards.

Over his 20 years at HBG Design, Chris has focused his talents on advancing and communicating the firm’s documentation processes, ultimately being promoted as the firm’s dedicated documentation leader. Chris is a champion for process improvement and innovation of architectural detail design and documentation for all the firm’s projects. Chris and his documentation standards team have meticulously developed new practice tools and approaches that enhance the way HBG works by bringing clarity to highly complex processes. These enhancements and streamlining of standards have allowed our project teams to amplify their design collaboration and produce design drawings and Revit models more efficiently and more accurately, with a substantially increased level of quality.


Dana Ramsey, CPSM - Senior Associate / Director of Marketing

With over 25 years of experience in marketing and communication and an 18+ year tenure at HBG Design, Dana has consistently demonstrated her unwavering dedication to helping HBG grow its presence in the national design industry.

As Director of Marketing at HBG Design, Dana instigates meaningful change, perpetually seeking ways that add value to HBG’s communication processes. An intuitive, empathetic listener, Dana brings an intense spirit of creativity, teamwork, and collaboration as she guides the marketing team in the development of high-impact promotional campaigns and effective project pursuit messaging.

With 10 national SMPS Marketing Communication Awards and 2 regional ADDY Awards under her belt, Dana’s strategic thinking and talent for creating compelling content and messaging have made a lasting impact on the firm. Dana strategizes, plans, manages, and executes marketing projects with relentless reliability. She is also a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) from the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).


Jason Fox - Senior Associate / Construction Administration Leader

Jason approaches life and work with a positive, selfless attitude and helping hand so that anyone he talks to always walks away knowing more. As Construction Administration Leader at HBG Design, Jason is a self-motivated, team oriented and results driven manager with almost 20 years of construction management and administration experience.

Jason consistently demonstrates transformative and collaborative leadership and brings an excellent reputation for cultivating client and team relationships. A natural born communicator and hard-working problem solver, Jason is regularly sought after by HBG clients for his extensive construction knowledge. He has the enviable ability to facilitate feedback and communications with multiple parties all while coordinating design intent with contractors to deliver a well-constructed building solution.

Jason also has a tenacious drive to help his teams solve big picture challenges through process change solutions that add value across the firm. He works closely with HBG’s documentation team to spearhead expanded implementation of critical tools and technology integration between the firm’s design and CA processes to drive greater design continuity, project team communication, efficiency, and accuracy.


Leslie Thompson - Senior Associate / Practice Operations Leader

As Practice Operations Leader, Leslie is the go-to person for practice-related processes and procedures, bringing a high level of communication and strategic and creative thinking to every initiative she spearheads.

Having risen through the ranks at HBG, Leslie is key to almost every practice-related improvement initiative and every project we deliver. A knowledgeable and respected leader, Leslie’s creative problem-solving skills and work ethic make her uniquely suited to lead multifaceted and highly technical practice-related operational endeavors as a bridge between all aspects of project delivery.

She has a long history of high performance producing measurable results as practice manager, overseeing the effectiveness of HBG’s project staffing, scheduling, project document packages, and quality control reviews. She also helps lead the firm’s Revit training program, specifications consulting program and documentation outsourcing strategy. The importance and positive impact of Leslie’s practice operations initiatives cannot be overstated.


Paul Towery, AIA, ICCC - Senior Associate / Codes and Compliance Leader

Paul is well respected by state regulatory officials across the country, and often finds creative ways to use the codes to further our client’s objectives.

Paul is a registered architect who has focused his skills and knowledge in building, fire and life safety codes. He is well respected by state regulatory officials across the country, and often finds creative ways to use the codes to further our client’s objectives. Paul brings an excellent track record of creative code solutions for gaming and hospitality projects. Working with the team, he assists in obtaining the required regulatory approvals and helps coordinate the substantial completion inspections. He reviews and provides code analysis and consulting throughout all HBG Design projects and works with necessary local code enforcement agencies to expedite issues that may arise.


Mark Daniels, AIA, RA - Senior Associate / Architecture

Mark Daniels, AIA, is an architecture professional in HBG Design’s growing Dallas office. He plays a vital role in the firm’s project delivery and has been instrumental in facilitating HBG’s Dallas office operations since its inception.

Hailing from Frisco, Texas, and a graduate of Texas Tech University, Mark brings 29 years of professional experience in architecture focused on the hospitality, multi-family housing and education sectors in and around North Texas. Mark is an avid outdoorsman, and fun fact; he spent a year living in Malaysia.
